Opening Doors to Success in a Constantly Changing World

Best Of Door Decal

Our Mission

For 25 years, ISA has been “boutique” enough to offer personalized attention to students, with a family focused environment; yet “large” enough to offer a wide variety of options for the whole development of each student. ISA has continued to change the lives of children by offering world class academics and full language immersion. ISA develops exceptionalism in students who have proven track records as they move to the next stage beyond ISA. Most of our students exceed their monolingual peers by the end of third grade as they are reading, writing, and speaking in their native language and in their track language (Spanish or French).

In fourth grade, students are introduced to the third language with a high probability of conversational fluency by the time they end eighth grade. ISA’s three guiding principles develop what we call “A Portrait of a Graduate”, six stellar characteristics ISA students exemplify, which starts in Early School, continues in Lower School, and results manifest in full in the students in Middle School.

Fun Facts

1

We are the Home of the Palominos!

ISA’s Palomino has its own color of BLUE! The Early School students also have a traditional colored Palomino of tan and white! It was voted the Best Mascot in Scottsdale!

2

We have Houses!

When families join the ISA community, each student is assigned to a 'house,' similar to the system in Harry Potter! These houses promote teamwork, participation in sports days, and encourage positive reinforcement. Which house will you join? Coyotes, Bobcats, Gila Monsters, or Roadrunners?

3

We have the best Parent's Association (PA)!

Every parent automatically becomes a part of the Parents Association and can be involved as much or a little as desired. The PA has Classroom Reps who host thrilled events for the whole family!

Little girl cut out

The International School of Arizona is a nonprofit, independent private school, educating students in a dual international curriculum, from age 18 months through grade 8.
